Dear Fresno Judo Club Family
To protect the health and wellbeing of our community, the Fresno Judo Club board and senseis have decided to extend the suspension of in-person practices at the dojo until further notice. In place of our in-person gatherings, we have developed and scheduled online practices on Tuesday and Thursday evenings to support our judo education! We are looking forward to continuing to provide technical instruction, physical exercise, and, most importantly, connection with our judo family!
We are hosting one kid practice (6:00pm-6:45pm) and one teen, adult, and advanced practice (7:00 pm-7:45pm) every Tuesday and Thursday (days and times are subject to change). These classes will be held via Zoom and links to the classes along with extra resources will be both emailed to members and available online on our website. In order to protect the privacy of our judoka, passwords for the classes will be emailed (not available to the public).
Thank you for understanding our decision to promote social responsibility and public safety by shifting our classes to an online format. We are deeply appreciative of your continued monthly payments in order for the Fresno Judo Club to continue covering expenses such as rent and utilities. If you are not signed up for recurring payments, please mail your payment or contact us to pay via credit card. Our senseis and board members are all volunteers and are dedicated to continuing to serve our judoka and families as best we can! If you are in need of a refund or to temporarily pause your membership, please contact Sensei Julia Tsutsui through the Fresno Judo Club email: email@example.com.
We are looking forward to seeing our judo family online and, hopefully, in-person soon! These are unprecedented times, but, as always, our mission is to teach and promote judo and we are dedicated to our students and families. Please contact us if you have any questions.
The Fresno Judo Club
The Fresno Judo Club is a non-profit organization that has been in existence for over 50 years and has instructed thousands of students from Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare Counties. Judo is practiced as an international sport and its main purposes are physical fitness, self-defense, and developing good, moral character.
Fresno Judo Club is a member of the San Joaquin Valley Judo Yudanshakai (Association), United States Judo Federation, California Judo Incorporated, and USA Judo. We have been recognized as a Five Star Club by the United States Judo Federation and became a Century Club in 2018 for reaching over 100 members. We just recently moved to a new location and are very proud of our training platform which is unique in the Central Valley for the safety and comfort of our students.
Fresno Judo Club has classes every day of the week for a variety of levels, from young to old. We have hosted guests from all over the United States and the world. Our students compete at local, state, national, and international tournaments and have won several state and national titles. Our instructors volunteer their time and teach to give back to the sport they love.
