The Fresno Judo Club is a non-profit organization that has been in existence for over 50 years and has instructed thousands of students from Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare Counties. Judo is practiced as an international sport and its main purposes are physical fitness, self-defense, and developing good, moral character.
Fresno Judo Club is a member of the San Joaquin Valley Judo Yudanshakai (Association), United States Judo Federation, California Judo Incorporated, and USA Judo. We have been recognized as a Five Star Club by the United States Judo Federation and became a Century Club in 2018 for reaching over 100 members. We just recently moved to a new location and are very proud of our training platform which is unique in the Central Valley for the safety and comfort of our students.
Fresno Judo Club has classes every day of the week for a variety of levels, from young to old. We have hosted guests from all over the United States and the world. Our students compete at local, state, national, and international tournaments and have won several state and national titles. Our instructors volunteer their time and teach to give back to the sport they love.
Dear Fresno Judo Club Family,
Due to the COVID-19 situation, the Fresno Judo Club board and senseis have decided that it is in the best interest of our community to suspend all regular practices at the dojo effective immediately through Monday, April 13th, 2020. The health and safety of our students and families are of utmost importance to us and therefore we are planning to resume practices on Tuesday, April 14th. We will send updated communication in the coming weeks via our website and social media. Refunds for March dues are available upon request. If interested, please contact Sensei Julia Tsutsui through the Fresno Judo Club email: email@example.com.
As judoka, we know the benefits of physical activity and community during a time like this. While remaining safe and aware, we encourage our judoka to stay active and positive. We are hoping to continue to share ideas and engage with our families through our Instagram and Facebook platforms. Be on the lookout for judo, exercise, and activity posts for you and your judoka.
As always, our mission is to teach and promote judo and we are dedicated to our students and families. We are hoping that we all take this opportunity to remember what judo teaches us; self-discipline, personal growth, and responsibility towards oneself and the community. While we are unable to hold practices, we still want to support our judo family in whatever ways possible. Please contact us if you have any questions.
